Commitment to Community

Brain Injury Alliance

In addition to changing skylines in countless cities and towns across New England, United Steel has been able to change lives. This is done through volunteer hours given by employees, through our corporate support of various civic initiatives, and by helping motivate and inspire the next generation of tradesmen and women through our involvement in the American Institute of Steel Construction.

Steel Day

“Steel Day” – an annual event sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction. Customers, architects, prospects, and students from area technical high schools and colleges were invited for a guided tour of our state-of-the-art facility for structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication.

Local Involvement

United Steel is committed to supporting our local trade schools and colleges. We are supporters of both the UCONN and CCSU Bridge teams – we donate materials and access to our staff and resources to help students experience ‘hands on’ learning.
